Roger Angell loved the New York Mets. In 1962, the inaugural season of the new National League franchise in New York, Angell was eager to witness the baby steps of franchise history. Some nine decades and 60+ seasons later, his writing serves as one of the founding voices who chronicled the Mets journey from Day One. Despite his passing last year, we are blessed to have his beautiful writing voice to enjoy, still.
