Cohen wins broadcasting award
The National Sports Media Association has named Gary Cohen New York Sportscaster of the Year. It is the second time Cohen has won the honor. He also won the award in 2012. Cohen is the only New York Mets broadcaster to win the award.
Marv Albert has won the award 19 times during his illustrious broadcasting career at WNBC followed by Bruce Beck (9), Bob Woolf (6) and Ian Eagle (5).
