Expansion and Realignment

Expansion is coming. Will realignment join the party? If it does, it will reshape baseball history.

In anticipation of Major League Baseball discussing expansion, Fox Sports floated a hypothetical idea oh how expansion and realignment might look in the future (see also ESPN and the New York Post).

The idea included creating four divisions in each league, including two new franchises (such as Portland, Charlotte, Montreal, or Nashville) and a massive — and “radical” — proposal for realignment.
