Former Mets first baseman Butch Huskey has passed away. He was 54.
Over five seasons (1993, 1995-1998) with the Mets, Huskey compiled a .264 batting average with 55 home runs and 214 RBI. His best single season in New York came in 1998, when Huskey hit .287 with 24 home runs in 142 games.
