A piece of New York Mets left us last September when Ed Kranepool passed away at age 79.

Kranepool, a member of the MetsRewind Hall of Fame (Class of 2023), played 18 seasons — his entire professional career — for New York and batted .261 with 118 homers and 614 RBIs. He still holds the team record for career games played (1,853). Kranepool ranks third all-time in hits (1,418).
