Former Mets infielder Jed Lowrie was a guest on Trevor May’s podcast last week. When the conversation shifted to Lowrie’s tenure with the Mets, I leaned in and listened closely.

How would two former MLB players and teammates — Mets teammates, to be exact — navigate Lowrie’s two-year odyssey while in New York. Remember: He signed a two-year $20 million deal in 2019 and went on to play in nine games over two seasons (including the dreaded COVID year of 2020). Lowrie had eight plate appearances, going 0-for-7 with a walk and four strikeouts.
