Mets All-Star History
With the annual ASG only a few days away, @MetsRewind has compiled a brief history of players and games who represented the Mets.
Richie Ashburn was the first New York Mets player to be selected to represent the franchise and the National League in the 31st annual Major League Baseball All-Star game. Ashburn was the only Met on the 1962 ASG roster held in Washington, D.C. Although he was selected, Ashburn did not appear in the game.
