The first New York Mets player to make the National League All-Star team was Richie Ashburn. The Mets CF hit .302 in 1962, the franchise’s inaugural season.

Three Mets — Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor, and Edwin Diaz — have been selected to represent the New York National League team next Tuesday in Atlanta.
