Podcast: Mike Bordick
Mike Bordick had a short stint with the 2000 Mets National League champions. He joins the @MetsRewind Podcast as part of our 25th Anniversary celebration of the championship season.
After being acquired at the trading deadline, Mike Bordick made his debut against Andy Benes and the St. Louis Cardinals at Shea Stadium. On the first pitch he saw in a Mets uniform, Bordick hit a solo home run over the left field fence.
Bordick played 14 seasons in Major League Baseball — Oakland Athletics (1990-1995), Baltimore Orioles (1996-2000, 2001-2003) and a short stint with the 2000 New York Mets National League championship team.
